Off-Grid inverters don’t send electricity to the grid, but they allow you to seamlessly provide the electricity you need in your home or workplace directing it where it’s needed, as well as into batteries. Daytime energy meets the electricity needs of the household and batteries are activated at sunset to provide the energy needed in the evening hours.The use of batteries is not mandatory in these systems. Another option is for inverters to utilise the main grid after sunset.
These systems allow both the offset method and the storage method. The advantage of the system is that the electricity produced during the day is directed to the grid and the batteries can be kept ready or in reserve against power outages that may occur in the main grid after sunset. The cost of hybrid inverters will be slightly higher than that of other inverters.
